My name is Amanda and I am going into 10th grade at Lakeland High School. I am going on my third year in a leadership position in my Student Council. I am a two sport athlete participating on both the high school swim team and tennis team. As the daughter of a retired law enforcement officer, I am grateful for all of the freedom that the state of Idaho provides for its citizens. I believe it’s important for my generation, as the future leaders of America, to pay attention to what is going on in our country and actively participate in government. I’m grateful to be selected as a winner in the 2023 Kootenai County Republican Women Federated Americanism Essay Contest!
