Constitution Day
September 17
Constitution Day is a federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. The law establishing the present holiday was created in 2004 with the passage of an amendment by Senator Robert Byrd. Before this law was enacted, the holiday was known as “Citizenship Day”. The day is observed to guarantee that citizens, especially young people, have the opportunity to gain a solid understanding of the U.S. Constitution.
High school seniors at all Kootenai County public high schools will receive copies of the Constitution by – Constitution Day - courtesy

Federated (KCRWF) group.
