Attention all young writers! Do you have a passion for writing and want to share your voice with the world? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

 

We're hosting an essay contest for students in grades 9 through 12. The theme of the contest is Americanism and we want to hear your thoughts about how our former presidents viewed Americanism.

Winners of the contest will receive cash prizes and their essays will be published on our website and social media platforms for the world to see. In addition, all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

So what are you waiting for? Grab a pen and paper or open up your laptop and start writing! Your essay should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words and should be submitted by May 31, 2023, to be considered.

Kootenai County Republican Women 2023 Americanism Essay Contest Guidelines

 

"Americanism is an ideology that holds that the cultural and political values of the United States are the most ideal and desirable of any in the world"

 

Select from one of the following quotes as the topic for your essay:

Eligibility: The contest is open to youth residing and attending school in Kootenai County. Idaho. Contestants must be classified as a 9th to 12th grade student when the Contest closes on May 31, 2023.

Deadline: All entries must be received by May 31, 2023, to qualify for judging. Each participant can submit only one entry for consideration per contest.

Prizes: The first place winner will receive a $500 cash prize. The second place winner will receive a $300 cash prize. The third place winner will receive a $100 cash prize.  All winners will receive a certificate of recognition from the Kootenai County Republican Women.
