President
Davalu Cummings

Davalu Cummings and her husband bought land in Kootenai County in 2009 and began building their house in 2015 after fleeing the liberal government overreach in New Mexico. Davalu is a Texas native and a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. Her career in law enforcement spanned 30 years, the last 15 years spent investigating sex crimes against children and sex trafficking. From 2007 through 2015, she supervised the multi-agency Sexual Predator Exploitation and Enforcement Detail (SPEED) in New Mexico. After retiring in 2015, she moved to the area and worked as a civil tort litigation investigator/analyst for 6 ½ years. In her employment over the years, she was prohibited from actively engaging in politics. After losing her job due to the recent shot mandates, Davalu’s pent up patriotic passion was finally able to burst out. She has a deep faith in Jesus and a profound sense of patriotism, believing that truth is absolute, not a moving target. She is a lifelong conservative Republican and a pro-life Christian who deeply values integrity and the Constitution. According to Davalu, “We are at a pivotal point in our nation and it’s time for each of us to make a choice. If we want to preserve the way of life that God and our founders forged for us, we must heed the call to action. For me, that choice is not a difficult one and I want to do whatever I can to return our local, state and federal government to its conservative Constitutional roots. Carla has built this amazing Republican women’s group into a true conservative force that is actively involved in reweaving conservative values into the fabric of Idaho politics. I want to continue that momentum and join my skills and passion with the members of this club to increase our influence and preserve our conservative Constitutional values for future generations.” Davalu has extensive leadership and organizational experience gained throughout her law enforcement career and is a graduate of the Women’s Executive Leadership Program. She is the founder and president of Stand True Idaho, a nonprofit supporting Idaho law enforcement, the organizer of Warrior Boots, a Bible study encouraging Christian involvement in politics, and has facilitated the review of Post Falls school curriculum. She is actively involved in the community, including being a member of the KCRWF, a member of Heart of the City church, a delegate to the 2022 Idaho GOP convention, a volunteer at the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store and a member of the Benevolent Order of Elks.

I grew up in southern California, Orange County in Laguna Niguel and moved here to gorgeous Idaho in 2003. I had met my former husband when I was 15 and was with him for 30 years, we had four amazing kids together, two girls two boys and we lost him to addiction. I was then blessed by God with my husband Daniel, who was raised here in Idaho and in 2014 and I acquired 3 additional bonus children I adore. So, with our seven kids and their significant others we have 14, and 10.5 grand babies all here in Idaho. OH, THE joys of my life! I have been an estate planner dealing with life insurance's and financial representative holding my securities 6, 63, 26 licenses for over 34 years now. Helping with debt management and as a CSA to guide seniors to a successful retirement. Helping people is my passion and I was given the chance to work alongside my father in the financial industry for years which gave me the ability to raise my children and work from home or in our family offices before losing him in 2005. I then took over the marketing agency and traveled for years back and forth to California, Texas and Nevada hiring and training agents in our industry on building their practices and product knowledge. I have volunteered for various organizations in the past. I had spent years working with our children’s private Christian school in California helping with fundraising and assisting the teachers before we left, CBS bible study groups as well as the church we belonged to there. In 2003 I started volunteering at their schools here in Rathdrum, the select soccer club which I stepped in as president, treasurer, and secretary at varies times for the eight years I was involved, in our church I helped with celebrate recovery, the children’s departments and various holiday planned events throughout the years. I love that I found KCRWF through my sister-in-law Lisa that runs the catering, she had taken a picture of the luncheon and posted it on Facebook and I asked her about it, the following month I signed up for the luncheon and I was in. Finding this group has been so enlightening and I love the idea of being a part of a bigger picture and trying to help make positive change here. I believe whole hardheartedly that together we can work toward success So there I am in a nut shell!
